For these not up on the craze, NFT stands for non-fungible token. It’s a type of cryptocurrency that lets you personal a singular digital merchandise, and tons of music artists have been getting on board.
“Excited to announce that my first NFT drop is going down on Saturday (April 3) at 2:00 pm EST on @niftygateway,” the singer tweeted. “The gathering will characteristic new music and restricted version artwork. I developed the paintings with Unusual Loop Studios.”
In keeping with TechCrunch, there will probably be a flash sale of three completely different items of visible artwork, every with a unique filtered clip of a beforehand unreleased Weeknd music. There may also be a 24-hour unique public sale of a one-of-a-kind artwork piece together with the complete, unfiltered model of the music.
