Hip-Hop Artist Cordae Partners With Disney & ESPN To Fund HBCU Scholarships

GRAMMY®-nominated and acclaimed hip-hop artist Cordae Amari Dunston is collaborating with Disney Dreamers Academy, and ESPN’s The Undefeated to award scholarships to youth from underrepresented communities attending traditionally Black schools and universities (HBCUs).

Cordae can also be a featured artist on Liberated / Music For The Motion Quantity 3 which was launched Friday.  On the compilation venture, Cordae collaborates with GRAMMY®—and Academy Award®-winner Widespread, on the music, “What’s Life.” The musical choice is a celebration of what’s actually essential in life—household, mates, family members, chasing desires, having targets, and residing life to its fullest potential. Since having desires and reaching targets are crucial to Cordae and his imaginative and prescient, he needed to ensure he was in a position to fund the aforementioned scholarships.

“So many individuals want the cash greater than I do. I really feel as if if you’re in such a blessed place, it’s essential to pay that ahead to be a blessing to others. It’s particularly essential to me to spend money on our youth and the long run. Younger individuals are the way forward for our society and the world, so we should do all we will to make sure they’re correctly positioned to succeed. If I can spark the mind of some future world leaders and geniuses, I’ll die a contented man, says Cordae in a written assertion.”

Cordae instantly determined to donate his proceeds from the album launch to assist fund the scholarships. In a form gesture, when ESPN’s The Undefeated and Disney Dreamers Academy discovered about Cordae’s intention of donating his recording charges to fund scholarships for HBCU college students, each The Undefeated and Disney Dreamers Academy matched Cordae’s donation.

Cordae will make an look on Friday’s episode of Stephen A’s World which airs on ESPN+. In celebration of the newly signed federal vacation, Juneteeth, Cordae can be performing “What’s Life” and presenting an award at ESPN’s Sports activities Humanitarian Awards.
