Morgan and Layne said “I do” with an elegant and poised September micro wedding at The Baumberhof. Layne, an Oklahoma boy, stole Morgan’s Texas heart after the two met in Lubbock, Texas, one summer. The summer love began when Layne was visiting his grandma, and Morgan was finishing up her freshman year at Texas Tech. After a mutual friend set the two up, Morgan quickly became smitten with Layne’s “country boy” demeanor. Once the summer was over, Morgan and Layne began their 2.5-year long-distance relationship. Every two weeks, they would take turns making the drive between Texas and Oklahoma, trying to soak up any weekend time.  Eventually, Morgan made the move to Oklahoma after she graduated so the two could finally be in the same place.

The sweet couple finally said “I do” after seven years together. The two made the hard decision of turning their elegant and poised September wedding into a micro wedding due to Covid. It was a day spent with close family and friends, celebrating the love of Morgan and Layne. The celebration of the two began with the ladies getting ready at The Skirvin Hotel and then eventually making their way to The Baumberhof bridal suite, where Morgan changed into her Galia Lahav gown from J.J. Kelly Bridal Salon. Morgan’s white blooms bouquet with subtle hints of dusty blue from Poppy Lane Design completed her bridal look before she walked down the aisle. Amanda Watson Photography captured the elegant and poised moments of the September micro wedding. The light and airy photographs are something Morgan and Layne will cherish for years to come. The couple’s fantastic team of wedding vendors will be back for Morgan and Layne’s larger wedding happening this fall. Laurel & Marie have sent the most stunning invitation suites to the fall 2023 wedding guests using Morgan’s wedding colors of cream, dusty blue and sage. Everyone is ready to celebrate the love of Morgan and Layne again this fall, and we can’t wait to see more amazing pictures of this continued elegant and poised wedding. From the bride on one thing she learned: “I learned that small celebrations are just as important as the big ones. This pandemic has made the wedding industry and couples pivot, putting love, marriage and family at the forefront.”
