If Grasp P. has his manner, the first-ever million-dollar faculty athlete might reside at an HBCU.
The No Restrict Data founder not too long ago instructed TMZ Sports activities that he was within the means of negotiating a $2.5 million contract for his son, Hercy Miller, who dedicated to play basketball at Tennessee State.
“So, proper now, I’ve a deal on the desk for Hercy to make $2.5 million,” Grasp P mentioned of his son. “He by no means even performed a lick of [college] basketball.”
The proposed deal all hinges on a pending NCAA rule change that might enable faculty athletes to have autonomy over and revenue from their likeness.

If accredited, the rule can be set to take impact on Aug. 1.
“Guys which can be going to the G League and to those different — they’re not even getting that sort of cash,” Grasp P mentioned. “I believe the sport goes to vary after Aug. 1, anyway.”
