Biscoe to Lead Group’s Board

NORMAN—Dr. Belinda Biscoe, senior affiliate vice chairman of variety on the College of Oklahoma, has been named president of the board of administrators of the Oklahoma Increased Training Heritage Society.

Her time period begins in January.

She is going to change  Dr. John  Fearer, president of the College of science & Arts of Oklahoma.

The board works to protect and promote the heritage of Oklahoma increased training.

Board members are elected on the group’s annual December assembly and serve two-year phrases and officers serve one-year phrases.

Dr. Biscoe was named to the society’s Corridor of Fame in 2015 and was named to the board in 2016.

She stated being named board president is an particularly excessive honor because the society “has meant a lot to me and my household.”

“My Mother returned to varsity after I was 5 years-old,” she recalled.  “She matriculated at Spelman Faculty, a traditionally Black faculty for ladies in Atlanta.

She stated her plans to maintain previous corridor inductees related and dealing with the board.
