Former State Sen. Jabar Shumate (Dem., Tulsa) is heading a corporation with the City League of Larger Oklahoma Metropolis that may work with the Oklahoma Metropolis Chamber on range points.
“This can be a partnership aimed toward making a stronger dialogue with the enterprise group regarding problems with social justice and anti-racism,” a press release from the City League stated.
The companions plan to work collectively on 5 priorities:
- Initiating a enterprise group dialog about anti-racism;
- Establishing a range council and enterprise group working group;
- Creating management and mentoring packages;
- Creating an annual analysis publication that tracks and stories on range and financial equality in Oklahoma Metropolis; and
- Launching an ongoing initiative to extend minority provider networks and employment.
Work will start instantly on the primary two priorities and planning on the event of the ultimate three.
