OKLAHOMA CITY — Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble introduced a three-concert sequence 7:30 pm streaming at no cost every Sunday from April 18 via Could 2 by way of Fb and YouTube.

Brightmusic leaders stated the sequence “reconnects music and listeners past the pandemic zeitgeist.”

In celebration of Girls’s Historical past Month, Romantic Era options under-represented composers Clara Schumann and Princess Marie Elisabeth von Sachsen-Meiningen alongside greats like Beethoven and Brahms. These Romantic-era composers mirrored on the upheavals of Nineteenth Century Europe via artistic self-expression.

The sequence begins with a live performance that includes romances, tender lyrical items, by Beethoven, Clara Schumann, and Princess Marie Elisabeth, along with a bigger quartet by Finnish composer Bernhard Crusell.

The second all-Brahms live performance consists of his Cello Sonata in E minor and Trio for Clarinet, Cello, and Piano.

The sequence concludes with virtuosic works by Gabriel Fauré and Carl Maria von Weber.

Brightmusic’s digital live shows had been recorded at First Baptist Church of Oklahoma Metropolis and First Christian Church Norman, with smaller ensembles and shorter packages to keep up social distancing.
