OKLAHOMA CITY – The Nationwide Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum will acknowledge 2023 and 2023 honorees and inductees throughout the Western Heritage Awards occasion, September 17 – 18. The occasion honors people who’ve made important contributions to Western heritage via their life and profession.
Usually known as the “Oscars of the West,” the black-tie, celebrity-hosted occasion held at The Nationwide Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum attracts the most important names in Western literature, music, tv and movie every year.

Inductees into the Corridor of Nice Westerners for 2023 are Montford T. Johnson (1843 – 1896) and Bennett Richard “Ben” Houston (1929 – 2016). The 2023 Western Heritage Awards can even acknowledge R. W. Hampton and the 2023 awardee John Scott with the Chester A. Reynolds Memorial Award.
