OKLAHOMA CITY – College students with disabilities, ages 16 – 21, will construct prime employment expertise at free summer time applications hosted reside at 13 places. The camps will happen varied dates from 10 a.m. to three p.m., some starting on June 7.
The camps are sponsored by the Transition Program within the Oklahoma Division of Rehabilitation Providers.

BEST camps will give attention to preparation for actual life careers with job search actions, work readiness, employment entry and profession alternatives as nicely strengthening networking and pre-employment transition expertise.
“Our purpose is to get Transition college students engaged and prepared for employment success,” Briscoe mentioned.

DRS Transition offers profession planning and employment providers to arrange college students with disabilities for employment, post-secondary schooling and life after highschool. Providers could embody profession counseling, vocational analysis, work adjustment coaching, on-the-job coaching, work examine, and job improvement and placement.
BEST is one many applications DRS provides in partnership with different companies, public college programs and neighborhood organizations.
The Nationwide Heart for Incapacity Training and Coaching at The College of Oklahoma Outreach offers Pre-Employment Transition Service (Pre-ETS) actions to highschool college students with disabilities.
