OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Oklahoma Metropolis’s Metropolis Council has two new members following runoff races on Tuesday evening.
Bradley Carter and Barbara Younger received their respective races.
Carter received his Ward 1 race towards Shay Varnell and Younger received her Ward 3 race towards Jessica Martinez-Brooks.
Carter claimed 2,489 votes (54 p.c) to Varnell’s 2,117 votes (46 p.c).
Younger received 2,113 votes (57 p.c) to Martinez-Brooks’ 1,595 votes (43 p.c).
Each will likely be sworn in throughout subsequent Tuesday’s Metropolis Council assembly, every starting their four-year time period on that day.
Though the vote is at 100%, the election outcomes won’t be official till licensed by the Oklahoma County Election Board.
Ward 4 Councilman Todd Stone and Ward 7 Councilwoman Nikki Good will each take the oath of workplace once more subsequent Tuesday. Stone was reelected in February’s major election and Good was reelected when she ran unopposed.
