FROM THE FIRST ALERT WEATHER CENTER METEOROLOGIST JONATHAN CONDER A CHANGE TO THE RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER AS WE GO INTO THIS FRIDAY AFTERNOON, OKLAHOMA CITY NOW INCLUDED IN THE SLIGHT RISK, SO ISOLATED DAMAGE REPORTS IN GREEN SCATTERED AND YELLOW MUCH MORE NUMEROUS IN EASTERN, OKLAHOMA. WHAT’S THE THREAT? WE’RE TALKING ABOUT BIG HAIL GOLF BALL-SIZED HAIL POSSIBLE FOR THE METRO EASTERN OKLAHOMA COULD ACTUALLY SEE SOME BASEBALL SIZED HAIL DAMAGING WINDS 70 MILES AN HOUR. THERE IS A LOW TORNADO RISK. ESPECIALLY AS YOU HEAD INTO EASTERN, OKLAHOMA AS STORMS LINE OUT BECOME MORE NUMEROUS NOW BY THE WAY, WESTERN OKLAHOMA THIS AFTERNOON, YOU’RE GOING TO GET BEHIND THIS COLD FRONT AND THE WINDS ARE REALLY GOING TO PUSH. SO WE’RE LOOKING AT NORTHWINDS WESTERN OKLAHOMA GUSTS OF 45 MILES AN HOUR. THAT’S A DRY STABLE WIND, BUT YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE SOME BLOWING DUST OUT THERE. LET’S TALK ABOUT OUR STORM CHANCES FOR OKC THE WINDOW FOR SEVERE AS EARLY AS 3:00 P.M. UP TO ABOUT 6 P.M. ALL RIGHT, SO DURING THE PM COMMUTE, PLEASE BE SAFE. MOST OF THE STORMS ARE OUT OF THE STATE BY ABOUT TEN O’CLOCK NOW WHEN YOU WAKE UP, SATURDAY MORNING WILL BE CLEAR COOL LOWS IN THE 30S AND THE 40’S WE ALL GET THE WIND CHILLS 20S AND 30S IS GONNA BE REAL CHILLY HIGHS ON YOUR SATURDAY.
