Destructive hailstorm leaves Oklahomans scrambling for property repairs

NORMAN, Okla. (KFOR) – Residents and enterprise house owners woke Thursday morning to huge injury from Wednesday evening’s violent hailstorm.

“It’s wanting fairly unhealthy as we’re driving house and taking a look at homes, and home windows and automobiles,” stated Kristi Canfield, a resident in Norman. 

The severity of the injury was surprising to many.

“The trailer’s destroyed fully. I don’t know what we’re gonna do,” stated Whitney Provenzano, one other resident.

Large, baseball and tennis ball-sized hail rained down in Norman Wednesday evening.

The wind picked up and the storm was full power earlier than many knew what was coming.

“As quickly as I noticed how huge that hail was, I acquired our canines, and I bumped into the toilet simply to get away from all of the home windows,” stated Baylee Canfield, who was house alone in the course of the storm.

“Simply out of nowhere. All the sudden we began listening to huge time hail,” stated Robert Horner, a home-owner in Norman.

Horner’s house, which he has lived in since 1997, is now tattered from the violent hail.
