>> MOSTLY IT GOT STARTED BY ACCIDENT. IT TOOK MY HAS BEEN VISITING A FAVORITE AUNT WHO GARDENS AND SHE SENT ME HOME WITH IRISES. WHEN THEY GREW THE NEXT YEAR I WAS HOOKED. I STARTED ORDERING THEM. ONE DAY MY GARDEN WAS SO BEAUTIFUL, I INVITED OUR CLUB TO COME IN AND HAVE THEIR MEETING AT MY HOUSE. ONE LADY SAID, THESE ARE GORGEOUS, HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT SELLING THEM. AND I WAS IN BUSINESS THE NEXT YEAR. THERE ARE SO MANY COLORS. WE GO FROM WHITE TO BLACK. EVERY COLOR IN BETWEEN THAT YOU CAN THINK OF AND SOME YOU WOULD NOT EXPECT TO SEE. MYSTIQUE IS MY FAVORITE. ALCAZAR IS PROBABLY MY MOST FRAGRANT. WE HAVE SAPPHIRE JIM, INDIAN POWWOW. THERE ARE THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF IRISES AND I’VE ONLY GOT 4600. I WAS GOING TO STOP AT 2999 BUT I PASSED THAT NUMBER SO I’M UP TO 4600 NOW. STARTED OFF WITH BLUE, YELLOW AND WHITE. THOSE WERE THE THREE COLORS, THEN THEY STARTED DOING THE BREEDING AND THE COLORS TODAY ARE PHENOMENAL. EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF. IT’S LIKE WALKING IN A RAINBOW WHEN YOU GET OUT THERE. IT’S JUST COOL. LISA: A HIDDEN GEM, FOR SURE. BLUEBIRD HAVEN IRIS GARDEN IS OPEN SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS FROM 11:00 TO 5:00. THEY USED TO SELL IRIS BULBS ON SITE. BUT BECAUSE OF COVID THEY SWIT

We go from white to black — each shade in between that you can imagine after which some you wouldn’t count on to see on the market,” stated Mary Hess of Bluebird Haven Iris Backyard.”There are 1000’s upon 1000’s of various irises, and I’ve solely obtained 4,600,” she added.
