OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Authorities say two folks have been arrested after a lady who stated she was compelled into human trafficking referred to as Oklahoma Metropolis police.
On June 7, Oklahoma Metropolis police had been referred to as to the Econo Lodge, close to I-40 and Meridian, after a lady referred to as 911 to say {that a} man was chasing her and he or she wanted assist.
When officers arrived, they discovered the lady hiding behind some vehicles within the parking zone of the resort.
The sufferer informed investigators that she was being held towards her will.
Based on the arrest affidavit, the sufferer informed police that 30-year-old Mauricio Edwards threatened her and compelled her to drive to Oklahoma from Alabama. As soon as they arrived in Oklahoma Metropolis, the sufferer says Edwards made her begin prostituting.
That evening, the sufferer stated that Edwards and his girlfriend, 20-year-old Ariana Corridor, got here to the room and demanded cash from her latest encounters.
The sufferer says as soon as they left, she fled the room and referred to as 911.
