OKLAHOMA COUNTY (KFOR) – Western Heights College District Superintendent Mannix Barnes is again within the sizzling seat. This time, the Oklahoma State Board of Training issued an emergency order to droop Barnes’ training certificates.
Barnes was a Western Heights Board of Training member who was chosen to interchange longtime superintendent Joe Kitchens.
Since transferring into the workplace, Barnes and the district turned KFOR headlines.
“We now have an extended listing of issues that we discover troubling in that district,” Jennifer Monies, Oklahoma State Board of Training board member, instructed KFOR in April.
The lengthy listing of issues contains mishandling of funds, failure to offer in-person educational companies to college students, failure to offer meals for college kids and vital loss in enrollment and lecturers.
The President of the Western Heights Training Affiliation, Sharon Teague, instructed KFOR the next in a press release Wednesday:
