MOORE, Okla. (KFOR) – The Moore Police Division launched new details about an arrest following a violent disagreement over loud fireworks on July 4.
Lee Roy Newman was arrested Thursday. He has been charged with 4 counts of assault with a lethal weapon.
Residents of the Kings Manor neighborhood are upset that it took 4 days to arrest Newman.
“He stated, ‘I’m going to kill all y’all [expletive] beginning together with her,’ and he went growth and shot the gun,” stated Martha Love.
Witnesses stated Newman fired his gun at them as a result of they have been capturing fireworks.
“After which to particularly say ‘I will kill all you [expletive] beginning together with her that proper there’ is intent,” stated Love.
“That man is the one who began it. If any person is capturing at you, what are you going to do,” stated Sonika Agarwal.
