Two arrested in connection to scam targeting older Oklahomans

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Authorities say they’ve arrested two individuals in connection to a rip-off focusing on aged Oklahomans.

Final week, Oklahoma City police officials mentioned that they had discovered of a number of rip-off calls focusing on older Oklahomans.

Officers say the scammer referred to as the sufferer with detailed details about a relative of the sufferer, after which claimed their liked one was in jail. The scammer would then inform the sufferer that they wanted to offer money for a bond.

Authorities say that due to the detailed data the suspect had, most of the victims felt like his claims had been reputable.

At that time, an individual would arrive at the victim’s home to collect the money.
