Frozen spaghetti meals recalled over allergy risk, misbranding

(NEXSTAR) — Bellisio Meals, Inc. is recalling roughly 3,927 kilos of “Michelina’s Spaghetti with Meat Sauce” merchandise.

The U.S. Division of Agriculture’s Meals Security and Inspection Service (FSIS) made the announcement on account of misbranding and an undeclared allergen.

The Jackson, Ohio, firm discovered that soy-containing elements could have blended with the recalled product, which usually comprises no soy. As well as, soy will not be declared on the product label. 

The frozen not-ready-to-eat spaghetti with meat sauce gadgets have been produced on April 22. The product has an 8.5- ounce paperboard tray with lid packages containing “Michelina’s Spaghetti with Meat Sauce” with lot code J1112N8, “BEST BY 22APR2022” and a UPC code of “7 17854 10503 9” on the underside label.

The gadgets have been shipped to retail places nationwide. There have been no confirmed stories of hostile reactions.

Customers who bought the merchandise ought to to not devour them. As an alternative, they need to be thrown away or returned to the place of buy.
