VIDEO: Volatile incident involving combative passenger causes Atlanta-bound Delta flight to be diverted to Oklahoma City, FBI investigating

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – A Delta Airways flight from Los Angeles to Atlanta was diverted to Oklahoma Metropolis after a passenger allegedly tried to make bulletins over the aircraft’s loudspeaker and have become combative Friday evening.

Flight 1730 landed safely in Oklahoma Metropolis and was met by legislation enforcement officers after it was diverted from its course.

A Delta spokesperson confirmed to Nexstar Media that the unruly passenger started combating with the flight crew after an attendant tried to cease him from making the bulletins.

Cellphone movies taken on the flight present different passengers and flight crew members fighting the person, making an attempt to subdue him.

The person who posted the video mentioned the agitated passenger introduced that they wanted to be near their oxygen masks and that he then tried to open the door that goes to exterior the aircraft.

She mentioned crew members then referred to as for “all of the sturdy males” on the aircraft to come back to the entrance and restrain him.

A Delta Airways spokesperson launched the next assertion:

“Due to the crew and passengers of Delta Flight 1730 (LAX to ATL) who assisted in detaining an unruly passenger because the flight diverted to Oklahoma Metropolis (OKC). The plane landed with out incident and the passenger was eliminated by legislation enforcement. We apologize to our clients for the delay and any further inconvenience this brought on.”

An identical incident on one other Delta flight that was diverted occurred on Monday, June 7, when an agitated passenger tried to power his approach into the cockpit of a aircraft heading from Los Angeles to Nashville.
